The genesis of STT
In 2004, the Stubbe family decided to set up a distribution company alongside its production company. Arlette Dewolf, wife of Frans Stubbe (son of founder Maurice), takes the initiative by entering into a partnership with Pöschl Tobacco of Germany (Geisenhausen).
Increased sales and awareness
The original aim of the new company was to support the brands of both tobacco companies in Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. What happened then? Products and brands such as The Turner, Brookfield, Holland Art and Manila mainly enjoyed significant sales and renown on the Belgian coast and on the French and German borders. At the time, customers had to buy their pipe and snuff tobacco at specialist tobacco shops. That changed with the establishment of distribution company Stubbe Tobacco Trading.
A third-generation tobacco family
In mid-2006, Goedele Masschelein took the helm at STT. Together with a team of motivated employees, the distribution company continued to grow both in Belgium and in Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
New office 2013
In 2013, STT left its site at Plasstraat in Zonnebeke and moved to Beselarestraat in Beselare, about a kilometre away from its old location. Along with the new location came expansion, both in terms of the team and the volumes of tobacco sold.
2018
STT takes on distribution of Flandria products from Kruisem.
2025
Today, the brands are available thanks to integral collaborations with several international distributors. STT tries to complement their product range with additional products that have complementary in terms of client base.
